At CES 2008, the folks at Channel 10 caught up with four companies who are doing great things with Windows Media Center. Everything from custom built servers, to cutting edge cooling systems, to full home automation.

Exceptional Innovation showcases Life|ware which seamlessly integrates your Windows Media Center entertainment experience with all the electronics in your home.  During the interview with Channel 10 at the NextGen home, Jason from EI shows that by selecting the DVD menu in Windows Media Center, Life|ware automatically dims the room's lights and closes the blinds.  Furthermore, he explains that the user can personalize settings to automate and make their life easier and more enjoyable.  He also demonstrates the Life|touch on-wall touch panel where the user can control everything electronic in their home just as they can from their TV using Windows Media Center and the Life|ware software.

Inteset demonstrates the company's high-end customer Windows Media Center PCs.  Inteset works with custom installers to custom build Windows Media Center computers for their exacting needs. Everything from extra power, to extra cooling can be added.

Niveus Media showcased its new line of servers designed using Windows Media Center. The servers come with all the bells and whistles, including two internal HDTV Tuners.  Designed specifically for the custom installation channel, with sleek passive cooling fins machined into the chassis to dissipate the heat of the PC, without large, noisy fans.  No fans means no noise to distract the user from the high fidelity audio experience.

S1 Digital showed the company's products for custom installation with Windows Media Center; from a five-terabyte server with redundancy and hot-swap drives, to a small Windows Media Center computer the size of a book.
