Podcast on High Performance Computing

IT Manager Podcast RSSTraditionally, high performance computing (HPC) has been regulated to the realm of academia. Researchers use it when they need the ability to do some serious number crunching in order to complete years of processing in just days or to visualize complex data sets. In the past, the technology has been considered too costly for most businesses to make use of.

However, all that is changing. Join me on this podcast as I talk to Glenn Bontje, the Business Development Manager for High Performance Computing at HP Canada and Nik Garkusha, the Platform Strategy Manager for Microsoft Canada about the growing commercial uses for HPC and how this technology is becoming more accessible for businesses.

This interview is available in both mp3 and wma formats. For more information on this podcast series, check out the IT Manager Podcast web page.
