In order to fit in, I must have a BLOG...
One minute you hear about this new thing called a BLOG. Suddenly, a minute later, everyone has one. I can't be left out!
I am excited about this because I have a bunch of customers I work with that I share information with. I'd rather not constantly hit them with email each time new information comes out or there is a good tip or trick. My plan is to post things like that here. Certainly, feel free to ask questions.
My area of expertise is Identity Management and Messaging. Identity Management encompasses a lot of areas related to account management, access control, metadirectories, etc. I have worked extensively with Microsoft Identity Integration Server (MIIS) 2003 and this is a big part of Microsoft Identity Management strategy.
I have also worked with Active Directory and Exchange / Messaging quite a bit and I really enjoy this area as well. Obviously, these technologies are closely related to Idm and metadirectories.
I am a Senior Consultant at Microsoft and I generally work in Infrastructure related engagements. I started in IT in 1995 doing Visual Basic and SQL Server development. I realized I was not a “true” programmer and moved on to things like AD, Exchange, etc. I live in Western PA near Pittsburgh and I grew up in North Carolina. I am a big hoops fan and always root for the Tarheels; Duke sucks. I spend time with my two girls (4 and 6) teaching them XML and scripting; you can't start too early ;).
