On 16 November 2009, the Forefront Threat Management Gateway product team released their product to manufacturing. Forefront TMG is the next generation of ISA Server. Here are some of the new functionalities in the product:
- Secure Web Gateway
- URL filtering
- Anti-malware
- Network Inspection System (NIS)
- HTTPS scanning
- Works well with the Windows 7 BranchCache feature
