I’ve just tried out this tool that is fantastic! It automatically analyzes a performance monitor output log and generates a HTML based report which graphically charts important performance counters and throws alerts when thresholds are exceeded.
The thresholds are originally based on thresholds defined by the Microsoft product teams and members of Microsoft support, but you can personalize them by simply editing a XML file.

I’ve just run it on a 9MB log file, keeping the default options (therefore against System Overview), and got the results in 13 minutes. If you have ever analyzed a perfmon output you know what I mean! :-D
