The beta version of the SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA) for Oracle has just been made available.  If you are interested in migrating your Oracle database to SQL Server 2005 take a look at: http://www.microsoft.com/sql/migration/

Register to Participate in the SQL Server Migration Assistant Beta Program

Microsoft is pleased to announce a beta version of SQL Server Migration Assistant for Oracle. To access the SQL Server Migration Assistant beta:

  1. Visit the Microsoft Betaplace Web site.
  2. Log in using your Passport account (if you do not have one, create one).
  3. If you are not a registered Betaplace user, you will get a Guest ID screen. Enter the following Guest ID (case sensitive): SSMA_test1.
  4. If you are a registered Betaplace user, you will go to a different screen than in Step 3. Go to the Guest ID and enter the same Guest ID as in Step 3.
  5. Click the "SQL Server Migration Assistant" Beta program link.
  6. Follow the instructions on the SQL Server Migration Assistant page for completing the survey.
