For those of you who may have not "synched" yet today, I'm also pleased to let you know the latest MSI.dll fix addressing it's portion of the Svchost/msi issue (KB927891) is also available via WU and WSUS today!

The KB927891 patch was revised recently, but I had already been deploying the previous version of the hotfix through a login script across my School. When I approve the patch on my WSUS now that it is available, will it update all my clients that have the "old" version already installed?

This new update should update all the clients with the latest version even if the old version was installed.
Does not work for us, only a select few clean builds.
can you send a newer version when it's possible?
I did verify the install did update to the latest version.

I manually installed the 927891 patch on a couple of computers today that already had the updated client. After the 927891 patch was installed the spoolsv.exe process would shoot up to 90 to 99 cpu when trying to print something. I had to turn off the Automatic Update service before I could get anything to print again. Anyone else have this???
