The XP Pro system was updated on 1/8/2007 with two security downloads. One thing that was lost was the music library and playlists in the ITunes program. A restore was done on 1/10/2007 to the point "8:20:50 AM Software Distribution Service 2.0" through the start/assessories/system tools/system restore menu. It seems - to this point - that those things that were lost have been restored; however, another problem has occured that was not present before.
The error "Managed MAPI Service Catastrophic Failure" message appears when I start Outlook 2003 with two entries in the notice box. They are "Could not initialize CLR" and "The parameter is incorrect." I have search the technet.microsoft.com web site, and cannot find a solution to the problem.
