A Look at Metadata in Windows Photo Gallery

Scott Dart, Program Manager for the Photos and Imaging Experience Team, discusses several major metadata improvements Windows Photo Gallery offers for managing your digital photos in Windows Vista. He does a nice job of explaining what metadata is, what it does and what you can do with it. As a matter of fact, he even explains why you’ll find that some of the files you tag in Windows Photo Gallery don’t display those tags outside of Windows Photo Gallery -- say, for example, in Windows Explorer.
