Today is the day we’ve all been waiting for. I’m proud to announce that Windows Server 2012 has been released to manufacturing. That means the final code is complete and we are delivering it to our hardware and software vendor partners

re: Windows Server 2012 released to manufacturing!

Another intellectual masterpiece.
Thanks for nothing. You all solicited our feedback and asked us if this caused us heartburn, which it did. You realized that setting the GA and TechNet/MSDN availability would allow us zero testing time and made no sense. Then based on that information you did nothing other than bluster about how you couldn't move the date. You were absolutely incapable of helping the situation in any way. No matter what we said, it appears you really didn't want our feedback and everything was set in stone to launch on the 4th. Other teams were amazingly able to move their TechNet/MSDN launch date up, but of course, not the server 2012 team. That was completely beyond your control, even though you were able to launch the VL and OEM weeks ago. You were unable to move that date in any way. Yeah. Right. What's next, a bridge to sell us too?

Next time, please, just don't even ask if this is going to cause us trouble and get our hopes up that you might listen and may be able to do something about it. Just keep quiet altogether and huddle yourselves and your team away in your cozy Microsoft-only world. That is the only one that counts, right? Anyway, congratulations on a spectacular feat of incompetence. That takes skill.

At that point they'll then tell us, "what's the big deal? It's now released", and go on their merry way of avoiding this whole debacle.

To whomever on the server team decided to wait until GA to release this on MSDN, let me just say - you suck. You've caused us heartburn and deployment/testing problems. Please quit and put someone competent in your place.

To everyone else on the server team not responsible for this release fiasco, thank you for your efforts. I look forward to testing the RTM bits.
