Are we going to see patch management solutions for x64? ... I was a bit disappointed with the lack of support for IA64 from MBSA and SUS.
Hello - this is Ward Ralston, and I am also a Product Manager with Windows Server. I think that you will be happy to know that Windows Update Services will indeed patch the x64 versions of Windows Server (and client). When we ship this product the first half of this year you will also see patching capabilities for SQL, Exchange, and Office. Eventually, ALL of our products will be patchable through WUS. More information (and a eval download) is available at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/wus/default.mspx
