imageWindows Intune Guide to Go” is the second in a series of System Center and MDOP related apps for Windows Phone. This app was created with the new Windows Phone App Studio and collects Windows Intune documentation and resources from Microsoft and around the web. The Guide-To-Go series allows IT professionals and administrators to have useful, relevant information in an optimized-for-mobile format.

Additionally, the Guide-To-Go applications have these great features:

  • Share articles
  • Have the phone read the article to you
  • Pin to Start
  • Go to source

In the current version of the Windows Intune Guide-To-Go app, sources include:

  • The Official Windows InTune Blog
  • Windows InTune MSDN Forum
  • Technet Documentation
  • Technet Wiki and News Feed
  • YouTube Videos (that play on the phone!)
  • Bing Search for Windows InTune

Look for more Guide-To-Go applications to be released soon. Windows 8/8.1 versions should be available in the future, as well.

NOTE: This app was written by me (Steve Bucci) in an effort to help Service Manager users. It is not an official Microsoft application, nor is it supported or endorsed by Microsoft in any way. It is provided without warranty either expressed or implied. This includes, but is not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

  • Great app and the guide is helpful.

  • good info

  • J.C. The app's video links must be based on search queries for video. On my Lumia 925 I get taken to youtube videos that are trying to show me how to torrent Win8.1 and other questionable material.

The whole video feed is pretty questionable  - including results for REPLACING windows in my home. LOL  :)

I think the scoping of the search might be a problem? Maybe restrict it to TechNet, msdn, office365 community, and *.Microsoft.com?

  • There will be an update out shortly with a more refined search for the video.  The content that appears is on YouTube, so there may always be some non-intune specific content that finds a way into that search.
