The Windows Intune Beta Ends Today

As communicated in our previous blog posts, forum posts and in the notification displayed in the Windows Intune administrator console, the Windows Intune beta service will be ending today, Monday, April 18th. All data in the beta service will be deleted and beta users will no longer be able to log into their beta subscriptions.

What this means to you:

If you have a beta account and you deployed your beta client software to one or more PCs, you may visit the Microsoft Online Customer Portal and sign up for a new trial or paid subscription. More information on this can be found on the Windows Intune websiteWe recommend uninstalling the beta client software from all PCs you had enrolled in the beta service.  To make this easier for you we have prepared the following uninstall scripts package.  Review and accept the terms of use, download the packages, and follow the included instructions.   If you sign up for a new trial or paid subscription, you can then download and deploy your new client software. Your PCs will now be included in your new subscription, and you can continue to manage them from there.

If you already have an Microsoft Enterprise or Volume License agreement for Windows clients, please contact your Microsoft sales representative, reseller, or partner for guidance on how to get a subscription to Windows Intune.

Your participation in the beta release has been greatly appreciated, and thank you for helping us make IT management easier and more efficient!

  • Great software. Any chance it will support WHS v1 (sevrer 2003) in final version?

And more important will it be a standalone application? Cloud is all nice and great but some of us don't wont to store they data who knows where and don't have high speed Internet connection.

Definitely a show stopper for me. To bad

  • At present, Windows Intune is intended to manage the professional versions of Windows cient.

We currently do not have plans to offer it as a privately hosted solution.

We appreciate your feedback and will pass it along.

    Thanks!
