Hi, all,

Christa Anderson here with your latest blogs from Windows Server and System Center MVPs. It must be spring: Microsoft Management Summit is this week in Las Vegas (with several MVPs presenting or participating in Birds of a Feather sessions) and several MVPs announced that they were renewed as MVPs on April 1. Seattle even had a sunny Easter weekend, which we enjoyed immensely once we recovered from the shock.

Let’s start with the resources the WSSC MVPs are announcing this week. Get the latest System Center content, and read new KB articles and a new RDS wiki about Hyper-V, storage, and Remote Desktop Services. If you’d like to check out the Global Service Monitor for monitoring the health of Web applications, you can get a free trial. Like books? You may be interested in a free eBook on how to build a Hyper-V cluster for under $2000, and if you download a trial of Windows Server, you can win your own copy of the Hyper-V Installation and Configuration Guide. Need to decorate your workplace? Get the latest VMM poster. If you prefer your posters portable, get the Posterpedia app for your Windows 8 device.

For those who like learning from their peers or hearing about in-person meetings, there are several options for you. Contribute to a discussion about application virtualization. Review the most frequently asked questions from a recent TechDays event, and there’s a new Windows Management User Group in the Netherlands, led by some of the MVP community.  Eastern Europeans will want to know about upcoming conferences in Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, and Slovenia, and there’s a SCVMM training event in Ireland. Of course, be sure to check out our MVP-led sessions at MMS.

Need technical how-to or advice from the MVP community? If you’re working on your PowerShell, learn how to enable the Active Directory recycle bin or configure IPv6 and the Firewall. If you manage Group Policy from the desktop, you may be interested in this blog about the effects of installing IE10 on the management workstation. Learn about Remote Desktop Services in the second installment of an article series coauthored by the coauthor of the Windows Server 2008 R2 Remote Desktop Services Resource Kit. Small Business Server experts may be interested in these migration guides, and be sure to check out the latest in a series on the top 10 new features of Configuration Manager 2012 SP1. If you’re exploring the private cloud, be sure to check out these blogs on using App Controller, Hybrid Cloud, and Marnix Wolf’s roundup of new and updated management packs.

For international resources, keep up with Group Policy with the latest installation of the Big Group Policy Troubleshooting Guide (in German). See videos on using Server Manager and Directory Services with Windows Server 2012 (Spanish).

Last but not least, MVP Edvaldo Cardoso has been mentioned several times by the MVP community for his newly published book on System Center Virtual Machine Manager. Check it out!

These are just a few highlights of what’s new. Be sure to check out the complete list of blog articles lies below!
