Welcome back for another analysis of contributions to TechNet Wiki over the last week.
First up, the weekly leader board snapshot...
This week was another record breaking week of community contributions, with Maheshkumar yet again way out in front!
The usual crew behind him, which is great to see such consistency from so many regulars.
As always, here are the results of another weekly crawl over the updated articles feed.
#1 Maheshkumar S Tiwari with 562 revisions over 476 articles!!! Another personal record!
#2 Richard Mueller with 403 revisions over 271 articles!! Also an eye watering number of changes Richard!!
#3 Carsten Siemens with 148 revisions over 120 articles! Great work Carsten!
Exactly the same line-up this week...
#1 Maheshkumar S Tiwari with 476 articles!!!
#2 Richard Mueller with 271 articles!!
#3 Carsten Siemens with 120 articles!
This week's most fiddled with article is ADDS PowerShell (CMDLET, ADSI & .Net) to Expedite Your Tasks by i.biswajith. He, Richard and Naomi all had a hand in it this week, buffing it up to new heights of awesome. Nice work!
Err.. at this point, when I tried to reorganise the crawler DataGrid to show me the next ordered set of data (the "largest change" and "smallest significant edit" awards)... the crawler crashed D:
So, this week sees the return of an award I have been leaving out for several weeks due to the number of other awards, but is one of my favourites, the Ninja Edit Awards!!
This is the only DataGrid I could still see and screen grab, before I clicked the "close error" button and lost it all :(
This award celebrates a true ninja quality, that of constant vigilance and rapid reactions!
Below are the top three winners this week, down to the nearest minute, which is all the page info tells us:
Gold goes to Understanding the Error 1105 in MS SQL Server Database by Richard Mueller, for a ninja edit less than a minute after Techarge, in revision 2 on his article
Silver goes to SharePoint 2013: A no Code Solution to Build a Change Management Request by Dan Christian for a ninja edit within two minutes of Naomi N in revision 2 of Dan's article
Bronze goes to MSDN/TechNet Forums: How to Strikeout Text in Your Post by Naomi N for her ninja edit within four minutes of Richard Mueller in revision 6 of his article
All three winners displaying the true qualities of the master wiki ninja.
Congratulations to those who managed to get a look in before the crash...
And special thanks to the extreme work done by Maheshkumar, for finally managing to break the crawler! :D
I have several changes to make to the crawler this week, including storing data to a database as it is grabbed, and generating a file summary of sorted results for quicker access, rather than relying on manually ordering a painfully huge DataGrid of results.
Best regards,Pete Laker
