An updated SharePoint Server 2013 Trial image is available in the Windows Azure Platform Gallery. The image is based on the current Windows Server 2012 Datacenter release and includes a complete installation of SharePoint Server 2013 Enterprise Trial patched with the March Public and August Cumulative Updates.
Additional configuration is required to use the SharePoint Server 2013 Trial image include 1) a database server running SQL Server 2008 R2 or SQL Server 2012 2) a server running AD DS.
The current SharePoint Server 2013 Trial image will expire on March 17, 2014 unless activated using the appropriate product key. See also http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263204(v=office.14).aspx.

if i have a license for enterprise with msdn/technet, can i upgrade the trial and that way have the license extended further than march 17?
Are there any plans to continue to offer an image at just the March PU? This seems to fly in the face of "don't install a CU unless you need a fix that's in it."
@Ron Yes, see also
@Scott The current image is intended to support evaluation of SharePoint Server 2013 therefore based on the most current build of both SharePoint Server 2013 and Windows Server 2012; however, in the future we are considering publishing "baseline" releases, RTM, March Public Update, x Cumulative Update versions.
What I'm missing in the above is a link that goes directly to the SharePoint Server 2013 Trial image.
As this wasn't there as such, I spent far too much time checking out the links that were there - none of which seemed to include a download link (although with so much text to check through I may have missed it.
@Mike I can't link directly to the image in the Platform Gallery as it requires authentication through the Management Portal; however, I'd recommend looking at
www.windowsazure.com/.../infrastructure to get started.
