Ward Pond's SQL Server blog

Ruminating on issues pertinent to the design and development of sound databases and processes under Microsoft SQL Server 2008, SQL Server 2005, and SQL Server 2000 (while reserving the right to vent about anything else that's on my mind)

UPDATE: Please note that the issue discussed below pertains only to web-based page views, not RSS or Atom feeds

Well, the software upgrade we were expecting last week finally went through earlier yesterday morning.

Other than some subtle changes to the menu on your left, the primary impact (at least in IE7) is that the name of this publication in the title line at the top of the page is now rendering as "Ward Pond's SOL Server bloo"; the descending letters apparently are being cut off by a CSS issue.

I'd appreciate it if some of you running other browsers would let me know what you're running and whether my title comes across as "SQL blog" or "SOL bloo".

Other than some auto-posted "DWWTWT"? posts, the blog should be pretty quiet for a week or so after I respond to Rob's comments on prime numbers.  I'm off to Vermont to visit family, and my dad is still a dial-up guy.

I'll look in here when I can, but I figured to be more interested in leaf-peeping than in correlated subqueries.

Type atcha soon..

  • Hi Ward, On my screen, the title line shows as "blog". Using IE 6. Best, Hugo

  • Thanks, Hugo!

  • You might recall I mentioned a little rendering problem I was having after the recent software upgrade.

  • This post doesn't apply for you aggregate surfers; those of you who come to http://blogs.technet.com/wardpond
