  • Office 365 subscribers get Office Mobile for Android phones

    If you have an active Office 365 subscription that includes the Office desktop applications, you can download Office Mobile for Android phones from the Google Play Store and use it to access, view, and edit Office documents (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) on your mobile device.

    License rights to Office Mobile for Android phones are included with the following Office 365 subscriptions in Volume Licensing: Office 365 Midsize Business, Office 365 Enterprise Plans E3 and E4 and Office 365 ProPlus (including Education and Government Office 365 subscriptions with Office desktop applications).

  • Microsoft’s new Partner Quoting Tool gives channel partners more flexibility

    Recently, at the Worldwide Partner Conference the Licensing and Pricing team announced the future availability of Microsoft’s new Partner Quoting Tool -- MS Quote -- created to give channel partners more flexibility and help drive revenue and growth opportunities. With over 430,000 organizations in the Microsoft Partner Network (and 160 million mutual customers worldwide), Microsoft is making key investments to assist partners with customer acquisition and retention impact. Cloud, Big Data, Devices and Mobility, and Enterprise Social have been identified as areas with the largest opportunities in the current marketplace and Microsoft is working to provide partners with the right tools within each to accelerate business growth, compete and become more profitable.

  • Microsoft Assessment and Planning (MAP) Toolkit 8.5 Now Available

    The Microsoft Assessment and Planning (MAP) Toolkit team recently announced the new MAP Toolkit 8.5 is now available for download. The latest version adds new scenarios to help organizations assess their environments with greater agility and lower cost of delivery.

    Included in the update are hardware and infrastructure readiness assessments to assist organizations in planning the deployment of Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012, preparing migration to Windows Azure Virtual Machines, ready  environments for Office 2013 and Office 365, and track usage of Windows Server, Lync, SharePoint, and Exchange.

  • Streamlining SAM with SQL clustering

  • Windows Embedded 8, the internet of things, now available through Microsoft Volume Licensing

    Microsoft announced the availability of Windows Embedded 8 volume licensing for enterprises. Windows Embedded 8 is a platform specifically designed to extend the power and experience of Windows 8 to embedded industry systems such as kiosks, point-of-sale devices, and digital signs. Windows Embedded 8 products will be available to enterprise customers through the standard Volume Licensing channel, delivering the benefits that come with this channel directly to the enterprise.
