This is the second in a series of blog posts about how Microsoft Payment Solutions is designed to help companies achieve their strategic objectives through thoughtful cash flow management.
Wouldn’t it be great if your new IT needs always arose at the start of your fiscal year? That the solutions team didn’t want to roll out a new datacenter in response to competitive pressures in March after this year’s budget has been spent and when the next budget cycle doesn’t start until July?
All businesses face unexpected challenges that very rarely fit neatly into budgeting cycles. Microsoft Payment Solutions can help solve payment timing issues, allowing you to acquire the technology you need today and pay later.
One of our customers recently faced precisely this problem. In order to get the latest technologies to grow their business, they needed to double their Enrollment for Application Platform (EAP) and Enrollment for Core Infrastructure (ECI) investment but lacked sufficient budget to do so in their current fiscal year. This customer also wanted to add Premier Support to implement technologies for improved productivity and interment ROI as soon as possible.
The Microsoft account team, which included a Microsoft Payment Solutions Specialist, designed a payment plan that included a three-month deferral followed by two semi-annual payments aligned with the customer’s cash flow needs. The company was able to acquire the technology and services they needed immediately by deferring payments until budget was available in the next fiscal year.
Deferred payments are only one of the payments options available to help your organization acquire the technology you need using the budget you have. This is how it works:
Deferred payment option – if you need to purchase technology today but lack available budget in the current period, you can defer payment for up to six months
With deferred payments, you get to:
