You can download the Hyper-V Server 2012 RC edition from www.microsoft.com/.../default.aspx. Can you give it a shot with this download?

Thank you again.

Please ensure that you are running the RC build (8400) on all the servers. The error message seems to indicate that the system encountered a failure when loading the WMI object - which typically is seen when there is a build mismatch.

You can also try the following workaround - but there are *no* guarantees - restart vmms on 192.168.20.125 ("net stop vmms" followed by "net start vmms"). Also check if you are the admin or part of the Hyper-V administrator user group on 192.168.20.125. But to reiterate, the best option is to get all 3 servers on the same build.

Praveen, I put screen shots at skydrive.live.com

I cannot make my HV 8 hosts into replica targets or have the guest VMs replicate to a targer.

I disabled the firewall on both HV 8 hosts to test.

HV8 hosts (HV1 and HV2 in screen shots) Version 6.2.8250

Server 2012 Version 6.2.8400

You should be able to enable replication on the free version as well. Can you please help me with the repro steps, build which you are using and the exact error message which you got (screen shots if possible).

Can you please confirm this?

Your feedback on documenting this procedure is taken, I will try to get a blog article out on this shortly.

"HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Virtualization\Replication" - can you please rerun the reg add command and let me know if it addresses your problem. If the problem persists, please feel free to send me the screen shot over mail.
