Hi, I have created a vhd backup of my windows 7 system, added it to the boot manager but get bsod upon boot from an hdd (image created from an ssd; if that matters) on same machine (fixed size vhd with plenty of free space). I was wondering whether there is a requirement on native boot of vhd's for intel vt-x? as my processor does not have this feature and I wonder if that might explain the problem?

I thought this article was about VHD, not the operating system. This article is worthless to a novice.

To those interested in creating native VHDs on systems such as Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, etc...Take a look at this utility. This takes all the work out of setting up a dual-boot VHD environment and manages it as well.

I get the following error when I try to create a new VHD or mount an existing VHD. "A virtual disk support provider for the specified file was not found." Has anybody else encountered this?
