Small issue, if there is no space between the last attribute and cliosing tag, en exception is thrown.

Changing the replace line to (added space before From...):

f.SchemaXML = $f.SchemaXML -replace '/>',' FromBaseType="TRUE" />'

Solves this.

Great script! I've extended this script to work on our environment at work.

I have a quick question for you, why are you instantiating both the web client and the httpwebrequest classes?

To my understanding the web client and httpwebrequest are very similar and a lot of the scripts that are used for "warm-ups" use one or the other. However, in my environment I require both like you have in your script and was wondering what the process behind that was.

Thank you!

1. Instead of updating the username with the AccountName of the User, as usual in Sharepoint Designer (DOMAIN\AccountName) use the following pattern Id;# Name of the User, or just ID , where Id is the Id of the user as in the site collection.

sharepointwarmup.codeplex.com is an active and stable utility that integrates with Central Admin for warmups.

Personally I've been using http://spwakeup.codeplex.com/ for years even though it's noted as Beta.

1. When a PAGE is rendered that doesn't exist in the Object Cache, all the Solutions in the Site collection is downloaded. This seems overkill for a simple page. Granted solution objects can be used on a page, but does this mean that the page doesn't actually track which solutions are leveraged on the page itself?

2. You note that saving a site as a template with content somehow throws it into the mix of Solutions. As far as I am aware, saving a site as a template with content, adds a new item to the Site Template Gallery. I don't see how that translates to a Solution. Thoughts?

Thanks

C
