New Office 365 Partner Admin Features

Partners,

Fantastic news for you Office 365 sellers that leverage the Partner Portal to provide additional services for your customers.  Prior to this feature update, you were able to:

  • Create trial invitations
  • Create purchase offers
  • Create delegated admin requests
  • Search for customers (by domain)
  • Perform delegated admin tasks

We are in the process of rolling out the following new features to your Partner Portal:

  • View the customers in which you have delegated admin permissions – all in one place
  • Easily find, select and perform administrative tasks on behalf of your customers
  • View your customers’ Office 365 service health status and details
  • Create, edit and view service requests on behalf of your customers

I just checked my own Partner test tenant and I received the following notification (if you haven’t seen this yet, be patient, we’re rolling out the new features over the next few weeks):

Once I agreed, my Partner Portal looked similar to this:

Preliminary partner feedback has been VERY positive! Here’s a quote from one of our top O365 partners:

“…every technician on my team can’t stop raving about how much they LOVE the new console, this saves them a TON of time which translates into efficiency…”

If you have an Office 365 managed services practice or plan on investing in this area, make sure you check out the new features!  If you’re selling O365 or thinking about selling O365 and don’t have access to your partner portal (you login to your O365 tenant and don’t see a “Partner” tab at the top), check out this blog post to add your partner benefits from you Microsoft Partner Network profile.

  • Still no ability to purchase licenses for my clients. I still have to log in as the Admin to the tenant account. I have to do this so often that I never use the Partner Admin portal.

  • David, I have the same issue, have they resolved? I created a ticket on this.
