MEC Demo 5.5 Now Available!

MEC Demo 5.5 has launched!

The latest demo version of the MEC (5.5) is now available at www.usmec.com.   MEC Demo is the lightweight MEC program alternative that empowers Microsoft and Partner sales teams to deliver the Microsoft platform value and Office 365 story with customers using a single Windows 8 PC and companion device.

Leveraging the same impactful “day in the life” scenarios of the in person MEC session, a full MEC Demo runs ~30 minutes in total.  Ideal for 1:1 conversations or even 1: many events, MEC Demo is easy to setup, learn and begin delivering  the core messaging that drives sales momentum with IT experts and business professionals alike.

Highlights of the latest MEC Release Now Available in MEC Demo:

  • Windows 8.1
  • Yammer Improvements (outlook plug-in, messaging & chat presence, usage of Yammer groups as DLs, search)
  • Office 365 web app co-authoring
  • Ability to post SharePoint documents directly to Yammer

  • I had the MEC 5.5 Kit for the Midwest all last week. It is a great experience and I think all the attendees finally realized the potential of Office 365 components working together. One suggestion I have is to add the Power BI Office 365 preview to the MEC provisioned tenant. The Power BI plug in did not work on the MEC 5.5 image and after researching the Office 365 Power BI preview, it seems like an amazing Office 365 add on we should be demonstrating.
