I get one or two emails a quarter that lists me still under my previous employer. I had disconnected from them in 2009. And setup my company. Is there an easy way to check where this outdated information is coming from?

There are three places you can check:

  • profile.microsoft.com for your personal information and newsletters you are subscribed to
  • partner.microsoft.com for your business information
  • Regional Partner Service center – it’s a long shot, but they might find a place where your new email address is cross-referenced to your previous employer identity.

Another option may be that your previous employer still has you listed under their partner.microsoft.com account – but they would have to be forwarding your email to you or have your new email address in their profile. Neither seems likely
