We are excited to announce the upcoming launch of the Small Business Competency in June 2012. This new MPN competency is designed fromthe ground up based on partner input and feedback. It will help build a skilled partner ecosystem to drive our Small Business cloud and on-premise products& services to establish break-through growth in this segment.
Seizing the SMB opportunity
This new competency offers partners world class value, service and support to increase their profitability by marketing, selling and servicingproducts such as Office 365, Windows, Office, Windows Server, Small Business Server and Windows Intune. It is our big bet to gain another strategicavenue to seize the$94B SMB market opportunity and compete against Google.
Leading with Cloud
As the cloud opportunity matures in SMB, this competency will enable each SB Competency Partner to have a cloud conversation with theircustomers. It offers partners marketing, sales and technical capabilities to support either cloud services or on-premise products.
MPN Program Positioning
The current Small Business Specialist Community program will continue to exist and we will continue to support our SBSC partners. After agrace period where the Small Business Competency brand will co-exist with the SBSC brand, the Small Business Specialist Community will become an MPN partner-to-partnercommunity. We will provide a smooth pathway into the Small Business Competency for SBSC partners that value the brand. This competency will also co-exist withthe Cloud Essentials program, the Cloud Accelerate program and the Mid-Market Competency.
