When Lesley mentioned getting fame yesterday in her blog by receiving a Microsoft Partner award at WPC it occured to me that we should give you some more information around registering for WPC.
It's that time again when the buzz around Microsoft and our Partner Community is the busy summer ahead. As tradition holds in July we will kick off the month and the Microsoft Fiscal Year at World Partner Conference. This year we are back in New Orleans, LA. While some of you may be thinking that spending 5 days in the hot sticky New Orleans weather is not your idea of a good time you are sure to be intrigued with many new HOT topics and discussions. The objective for many of our partners is always to meet with not only their Microsoft representatives but I have also found over the years that the time spent networking with your MS Partner peers is extremely valuable. This is a chance to share ideas, discuss trends and learn best practices from partners all over the country.
I invite each and everyone of you to join us, your Central Region partner team, in New Orleans from July 13-16. This year, you’ll find U.S.-relevant information throughout the conference, including more than 20 U.S.-specific sessions on Thursday, July 16.
This year, we have made changes to the WPC format to help you make the most of your time and connect with your local Microsoft Team. You may choose to participate in optional activities on Sunday, July 12, such as the Enterprise Partner Forum and the golf invitational. The conference starts early Monday morning, as Microsoft executives Steve Ballmer and Allison Watson share company vision and insights. Other conference highlights:
· Connect to Microsoft employees and other partners throughout the week: use our new WPC Connect networking tool before and during the conference, visit the U.S. lounge and the redesigned Expo Hall, and attend U.S. sessions on Thursday.
· Get the latest technology roadmap and hear about the newest Microsoft products and emerging technologies, including Windows 7, software-plus-services, and Microsoft Office 14, and how to incorporate them into your existing practices or why to consider adding a new practice.
· New, interactive breakout sessions encourage a dialogue with Microsoft leaders, and more than 20 value keynotes from Microsoft executives who support different areas of partner practices.
We look forward to seeing you in New Orleans and don't forget a few coins for the slots!
