Updated 5-24-11 with new Mango information
At TechEd 2011 this week, we demoed the beta of Lync Mobile for Windows Phone 7.x and Outlook Mobile in the upcoming Windows Phone “Mango” release. The Microsoft TechEd presenter commented Lync Mobile was slated for the 2nd half of 2011 and looks like it will be a free download from Marketplace. The beta version looks pretty nice thus far. Note:Here are some screenshots from the public demo shown at TechEd 2011 however features and UI are subject to change:

It's about time! Can't wait to dig into this more. Lync is leaps beyond OCS, looking forward to working with the mobile client.
I hope it has "call via work" like wm 6.5 and wifi calling through lync itself would be even better.
Is there a beta program from lync mobile? I'd like to try it out.
Not sure about Call Via Work as of yet but I do like that feature as well as 'Join Lync Meeting' from your calendar. Beta program - there is an early adopter program going on but not sure if there will be a public beta.
Hi there,
are there any news to the Lync Mobile Client? I can find already information here:
lync.microsoft.com/.../lync-2010-mobile.aspx
But there is no download link, yet.
Thanks and best regards,
Martin
How about the lync client for iPhone ?
Looks great! BTW, comparing with Lync desktop client, does the Lync mobile client requires anything special on the Lync server side? For example, Lync Web Access, and etc..
No server side add-ons other than the app need. Slated for release sometime before the end of the year.
Android and iPhone Lync client - also check back to the blog in a few months as well for more information
what about single number reach, ie. placing a call on the mobile (is this going to be transparent for the end user, just dial the number and the phone will handle the rest (3g or gsm call?)), no need to open a separate app) and it will appear like originating from the office?
got, the new mango RTM release from microsoft (for early adopters) but there's no Lync client on it :(
That means we don't have Lync until when?
thanks!!!
