The add-in was inactive, so I tried to activate it but that did work. So I removed it and tried to add it again from C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60\OfficeAddins (running on a local VM) and file C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60\OfficeAddins. But I get the message "This is not a valid Office add-in" unfortunately :(.
sorry, the post above from 'Anonymous' is mine :)
I meant this file: Microsoft.Dynamics.AX.Framework.OfficeAddin.Project.dll
Hi Christian, rather than moving the individual files, I think you should use uninstall/reinstall using setup. I'm not sure why you are seeing this behavior, but that is what I would recommend.
OK thanks Tom
I've got same trouble than Christian: I removed the Ax add-in from Project and I couldn't add it by using Microsoft.Dynamics.AX.Framework.OfficeAddin.Project.dll, does the AX setup install de project's addin or just the old ones? (word, excel...). Thanks Tom.
Tom, I have posted my problem in another forum and you asked me to write to your e-mail. I did twice, but I have not progressed from there yet.
Here, those adjustments were made but when I get to publish to AX, it opens a window where I was suposed to choose an entity. That form comes empty, with no drop list of any kind.
No log file is generated after the error.
I can send you a printscreen to your email, if you can take a look.
Secondly, our local partner says that there is a bug to this feature to the Brazilian localization and that we should expect Microsoft to actually remove this link to Project/Client. In other words, we were told that this feature will not be supported to any
Brazilian localizations. Is that serious or BS?
I removed addin from excel, then I added to registry these elements:
"Description"="Microsoft Dynamics AX Add-in for Microsoft Excel"
"FriendlyName"="Microsoft Dynamics AX Add-in for Microsoft Excel"
"Manifest"="file:///C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Microsoft Dynamics AX\\60\\OfficeAddins\\Microsoft.Dynamics.AX.Framework.OfficeAddin.Excel.vsto|vstolocal"
and addin was added and enabled after restart excel.
