My name is Thomas (Tom) Laciano and I am currently a Sr. Program Manager with the Unified Communications team. Our team handles the enterprise customers deploying our products during the pre-rtm phase and then we handle a few selected customers after RTM ensuring their successful deployment. My blog will contain information about our products as I am working on them and include information that helps to clarify pain points we know about from our pre-rtm work as well as repetitive issues we see in supporting customers at RTM.
I joined Microsoft in 1993 as a temp and 1994 full time supporting DOS 5.x, Windows 3.x, Windows for Workgroups 3.x. Windows 95 was the first real release I was around and I then moved to support Exchange 4.0 (beta 2) and quickly joined the connectors specialty team. I supported Exchange 2000 and Conferencing Server a little bit and moved to training only to return to support in 2003 supporting Live Communications Server 2003 then LCS 2005 SP1 and served as the beta engineer for Communicator Web Access, Communicator Mobile and shortly with OCS 2007.
