Hey TLG fans,

It is with great pleasure (and a sigh of relief) to inform you that the first batch of Test Lab Guide (TLG) overview videos are now available:

Base Configuration

Windows Server 2012 Base Configuration

These new videos, usually under 3 minutes, show you the stack (the set of TLGs that you need to configure) and the lab build-out, correlated with the steps in the TLG.

The purpose of these videos are to give you an idea of what's involved in building a given test lab in a short, to-the-point, and visually interesting way. You can then decide whether to take the plunge and make it happen in your test lab.

If you have any suggestions on how to improve these types of videos, please let me know by leaving a comment on this blog post.

All of the TLG overview videos are available from the new Test Lab Guide Overview Videos portal page. More are on the way…

Enjoy (very visually, this time)!

On page 7 line 2, it states "On DC1 in DNS Manager, under Forward Lookup Hosts, select the node." My question are 1) there is no Forward Lookup Hosts, but   Forward Lookup Zones. 2) there is no but

any help is very much appreciated

  • Hi Joe,

I just updated this white paper last week to simplify the steps and reduce overlap with other SharePoint test lab guides. The new TLG is named Configuring Intranet and Team Site with SharePoint Server 2013 and is located here: . Please download this new version and give it a try.
