I was just going through some of my files here, and ran across a video I made a few years ago, that was a thank you for a parting gift from Exchange rotation 15 which I ran (this was prior to having any of the other tracks...when I was still a lone ranger - ha! - running things).
Anyway - for those that know me (and I guess those that don't) - I'm a soccer and music freak. The below combined the two while adding one of my favorite people on the planet, my oldest son Andreas, back at our house in sunny L.A. (oh, how I miss thee, sunny L.A.!).
I'm guessing i'll find a few more vids here..we'll see how many are suitable for posting ;-)
For a zillion internet points: name the band and song...For a kajillion more: point out the flaw in the jersey (friendly note: a deduction of a kajillion-zillion points will be made to anyone suggesting the flaw is that it's a German National Team jersey!!!)
(and yeah - - youtube, schmutube...smugmug, baby! :-) )
Nice video and for the points is Nirvana Milk It from In utero.
And for the shirt (nice by the way) it has a P instead of an R on deutscher. I prefer the one from Argentina.
Great vid, roomie! Cute kid! Must take after his mother!!!
Gabriel - we're going to have to go to the judges on this one. Seems you have the right responses, I just need to determine if the Argentina preference nullifies your answers or not ;-) Judges? Judges?
And it seems you're in luck, sir! The judges grant you the win!
Now - either let us know your interweb points investment account number OR send me a mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your address and I'll see if we can send you a little something for real.
Thanks for playing :-)
On to you, Mr. Gillies! Thanks and, umm, thanks (ya' wise a$$!)? For everyone out there: Robert and I were roomies during our Exchange Ranger rotation, many moons ago (Rotation 3). Lots of pain, anguish, and fun during those (then) 4 weeks.
There's something to be said about watching the Matrix at 2 a.m. on the projector in a large conference room in building 34 (where Exchange team sat at the time), having a beverage or two, and relating the experience of Ranger to taking the red or blue pill. Yes, we took the red pill ;-)
Dang, we sure blew that jersey for you. Sorry bout that. ;-( From a Rotation 15 "Ranger"
Oh heck no, Gary. The jersey rocks!
