Hadoop on Azure CTP

The Microsoft’s Big Data solution pursues unlock business insights from all your structured and unstructured data, including large volumes of data. The roadmap for Big Data embraces Apache Hadoop^TM by distributing enterprise class, Hadoop-based solutions on both Windows Server and Windows Azure.

The Apache Hadoop software library is a framework that allows for the distributed processing of large data sets across clusters of computers by using a simple programming model. It is designed to scale up from single servers to thousands of machines, each offering local computation and storage.

The past 15th December was announced Availability of Community Technology Preview (CTP) of Hadoop based Service on Windows Azure. This preview is available to an initial set of customers. Those interested in joining the preview may request to do so by filling this survey.
