Skype on Xfinity Rolling Out in 10 Comcast Markets This Week

Yesterday, Skype and Comcast debuted Skype on Xfinity in Boston and Seattle, enabling Comcast customers to communicate with family and friends through Skype HD video calling on their televisions. By the end of this week, the offering will also bring Skype audio and video calls and instant messaging to the living rooms of Comcast Xfinity subscribers in Detroit, Indianapolis, Miami, Atlanta, Augusta, Chicago, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg, PA.

The offering is the result of Skype’s close collaboration with Comcast to deliver an innovative solution to the marketplace and demonstrates Skype's continued leadership in video communications. This partnership enables video calling in the heart of the home - the living room - where it enables people to share life's experiences both big and small.
