We hear you, we really do.
A lot of folks have asked me lately why our prize offers are only good for residents of the U.S. and Canada. While everyone on the webcast team wishes we could change this, there are some very real reasons why this is the case.
Due to the different import/export and tax laws of every country, we unfortunately can’t open up our prize offers outside the U.S. and Canada. To be honest, we just added Canada a few months ago, and that took a very big effort from our internal prize folks and their Canadian counterparts.
Each country has different rules, regulations and tax requirements when it comes to someone sending or receiving a prize. Our regulations in the U.S. don’t apply to the U.K., Germany, or other countries. Additionally, in most cases, the prizes that we award come with U.S. power adapters and are for the English language.
Our real goal is to deliver new and outstanding technical content to you in a way that well help you excel in your career or with your hobbies, or both. The prizes are an icing on the cake. But I know it stinks that those outside the U.S. and Canada can't win the prizes. My hope is that you still get great value from the content.
