Oh my goodness, these videos are hilarious. Tears in your eyes funny. If you're an ITPro or developer and are interested in SQL Server 2005 and Visual Studio 2005 (and who the heck in their right mind isn't, right?), you've got to visit http://www.escapeyesterworld.com/ Check out the videos in the lower left "main viewer selection" area. And besides the entertainment value, you can sign up to get the betas. And of course, don't forget about the SQL 2005 TechNet webcast series we've got ongoing at: http://www.microsoft.com/events/series/technetsqlserver2005.mspx .
But do yourself a favor, and watch a couple of these videos. Dean AndrewsTechNet Webcasts
There's someting I'd like to point out about the MS webcasts. When you look at them, the time is listed as something like:
Start Time: Monday, August 22, 2005 11:30 AM (GMT-08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada)
However, GMT-0800 would be Pacific Standard Time. If the webcast is at 11:30 Pacific Daylight Time, as I'm assuming it is, shouldn't it be GMT-0700?
You are correct. Our internal tool lamely doesn't deal with daylight savings time well. This will either get fixed in October, or we're kicking around a work around sooner to help clarify the confusion.
