Requiring subscribers to "add" or "go to" another location is unacceptable!

All this because 16% of respondents to the survey were unhappy??

We currently expose "what's new" via RSS feed at

http://www.microsoft.com/feeds/technet/en-us/subscriptions/technetdata.xml. You can subscribe to the feed and receive notifications when new products become available on the site.

We are also working on a web page that will provide "what's new" functionality in addition, and are considering the best ways to integrate this functionality into the new download UI. I can't provide an ETA for this feature yet, but I can say it's a very high priority for us because we know how important it is to subscribers.

It's hard to understand that you can make such a nice design - yet still miss the one feature that everyone complained about the last time you upgraded the site - the ability to see downloads that are 'New'. To me - this makes the site virtually unusable. I can't go through searching every topic to find something that's new.

I had also noticed that on the previous incarnation - the 'New' page had not been updated for some time. How difficult is it to add a view that is based on date???

Can't get in since Saturday to see the redesign. When I try to sign in, I get a Passport error. tried it on both XP and Vista PCs. What's going on?

Regarding "...You asked for it and here it is. The new Downloads portal is now available!..." - curious as to "who" asked for it.

If you recall, one of the most common "thumbs down", and eventual correction, regarded the lack of the ability to "immediately" check for the latest additions to the download list.

Subscribers should not be required to go to the TechNet Plus Subscription page for the information
