The Opalis Evaluation Program is now underway! If you are in the program you will have received this information in an email today. If you are not in the program and you want to join, you still can! We will be accepting applications on an ongoing basis … you might just have to catch up and read the Forums!
New Resources Available
The VHD is now available! The files can be found on the Download pages at the Opalis Connect site. There are two options for downloading: a large single file containing the full VHD or, for those with smaller bandwidth, multiple files that can be aggregated to a final VHD.
A document covering Setting up the Evaluation Environment is also available.
September Theme: Installing Opalis and Foundation Skills
Once you have set up your evaluation environment, the next step is to install Opalis in this environment. The document Installing Opalis and Foundation Skills is available to provide step-by-step guidance on how to install the Opalis bits. In addition, this document contains the basic exercises on basic Opalis tasks including Creating a New Policy, Creating a Basic Workflow and Importing and Exporting Workflows.
And a reminder, please post your questions and best practices to the Opalis CEP Newsgroups. These will be addressed in the Product Team Live Meeting as time allows.
In the next CEP Live meeting, we will have the Opalis product team on the call, so join us to review the Installing Opalis and Foundation Skills learning theme and come prepared with your questions!
Thanks to those of you who joined us for our kick-off meeting. If you were not able to join us, the recording is available here.
Next Session: Wednesday, September 29, 2010 8:00 AM PDT
I look forward to talking with you then.
Adam Hall Sr. Technical Product Manager, Opalis
