The next release of Opalis, which as I posted earlier today will be available in Q4 CY2010 will be known as Opalis 6.3.
You can read about the new enhancements in Opalis 6.3 in my earlier post, and I will be posting further details about Opalis 6.3 in the coming weeks.
Adam Hall Sr. Technical Product Manager, Opalis
How are you?
Just wants to know that why Microsoft needs Opalis in System Center Suit as this suit is already having Service Manager. Service Manager already provide automation like it can automatically create incident by collecting alerts from OpsMgr, have workflow facility to escalate the issues automatically to the right person. Service Manager is able to interact with Confgi Mgr, VMM and DPM then what the Microsoft’s key needs are behind to acquire and include Opalis into System Center Suit.
It would be great if you can highlight with example what are the key processes or functions which Service Mgr cannot do and Opalis can do to automate IT processes.
