Somewhere between the physical and the virtual
Released last week, the Operations Manager 2007 R2 Sizing Helper is an interactive document that helps you plan and size deployments of Operations Manager 2007 R2. Recommendations from this Microsoft Excel-based tool will include the recommended hardware specification for each server role, topology diagram, and storage requirement.
When used alongside the Operations Manager 2007 R2 Design Guide, the sizing helper can really help optimize your planning and budgeting efforts for both new deployments of Operations Manager 2007 R2, or upgrades from MOM2005 or Operations Manager 2007.
The tool can be downloaded today from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=b0e059e9-9f19-47b9-8b01-e864aebf210c

Thanks Sacha. Do know if the OpsMgr 2007 R2 Sizing Helper takes into consideration physical servers versus virtual servers? Meaning, would the same SCOM environment running on all virtual servers need higher hardware requirements than the same SCOM environment ran on all physical servers?
Thanks,
Tom
