We've been evangelising to the good people of Birmingham today - local radio, the main library, the BullRing shopping centre, the University and the Town Hall. We met the Major and showed in the demonstrations and material we're using around the City.
It's been a very busy day but a great deal of fun.
I'm about to head off to Leicester to regroup the team - we have different experts joining us in some cases so we'll kick off with a briefing and then do it all over again tomorrow. I'm speaking in a secondary school (11 to 18 year olds) on Friday in London and then next week will be at Nottingham on Monday, back in Birmingham on Tuesday for the Visual Studio / SQL 2005/ Biztalk launch where I'm speaking, then onto Newcastle on Wednesday and finishing the tour in Glasgow on Thursday. I hope to meet some of you during my travels - if you know of a gathering of IT Professionals en-route please add a comment and we'll see if we can pop in to share with you.
Here's a picture of the Major in one of the team's Minis:
A hectic day, what with starting off in the Bullring and touring one way systems throughout the day. Next time I visit here I shall make sure I have a good map! I have just seen some feedback from the past couple of days courtesy of some of my colleagues. I am pleased to say that it has been a resounding success, with many comments of appreciation for the efforts that have been put in by the whole team. Looking forward to joining you in Glasgow
