PRE005 Securing E-mail: Implementing a Layered Defense Strategy for Microsoft Exchange - Paul Adare and I are hosting the Technical Rights Management session
Layered defense is the best possible protection against threats to e-mail security and productivity. In this session, learn how secure deployment strategies, the management of multiple antivirus scan engines, and information protection technologies can ensure your enterprise is locked down against threats and policy violations. We will give you an in-depth look at protecting Microsoft Exchange at the edge, server, and client level.
CHT002 Getting Windows to do What You Want and Only What You Want - Jesper M. Johansson and I are hosting the session
For several years we have talked about the importance of designing and building systems that are easy to manage, flexible to new requirements and ensure the minimum attack surface. The focus of this Chalk-&-Talk is to help you get the most from the core features of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 enabling active security management. We will look at how tools such as the Security Configuration Wizard in Windows Server 2003 (SP1) can be used in conjunction with Active Directory to reduce the effort required to operate the infrastructure. This interesting new wizard can help you author, tailor and apply policy. As with any security policy tool it can also completely disable your network. We also discuss the idea of role-based security policy and how you can best leverage it to protect your Windows network.
