In case you're new to MBSA it's a security scanner which you can download(for free), install it on a machine in your environment and gather information regarding missing patches and updates. You require Administrator rights on the target machines to obtain the information. In addition MBSA reports upon some common security misconfigurations such as default account names and missing passwords.

Version 2 of Microsoft Baseline Security Analyser(MBSA) was released on Friday - click here to read the full details.

MBSA v2 adds support for Exchange(2000 SP3 or later), SQL(2000 SP4 or later) and Office(XP or later) and is compatible with Microsoft Update(MU) and Windoew Server Update Services(WSUS).
