Yesterday the first cumulative update for the SharePoint 2010 product family has been released as a delayed June 2010 CU. Unlike the WSS 3.0 and MOSS 2007 cumulative updates this first cumulative update is not available as server package but has been released as 6 individual packages. You can download the fixes using the following links:

Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2010:

 Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010:

After installing the fixes you need to run the SharePoint 2010 Products Configuration Wizard on each machine in the farm.

  • Since the configuration wizard is not run with multi-tenant configurations, does this mean that the PowerShell scripts need to be rerun for tenant admin?

  • Thanks for providing the update Stefan. Did Microsoft published the log on what are these fixes for?

  • How come there are two officekb2281364fullfilex64glb at support.microsoft.com/.../KBHotfix.aspx

  • Hi Ethan,

    please use August CU:

    Cheers,

    Stefan

  • Is 2010 the same as 2007 in that you have to install the WSS update, and then the Server update???

Or can I just install the SP2010 Server updates now?

  • Hi Joshua,

the "Uber" or server packages of the 2010 server update contain as well the SPF and the SPS 2010 updates.

For June CU there was no such server package.

For August and Oktober such a server package exists and here it is sufficient to install the one for SPS 2010.

    Cheers,

    Stefan

  • Hi Stefan

Before I go ahead and install the updates, can I ask if the October cummulative updates contain the July updates too? Or do I have to first install the July updates and then the October updates?

    Thank you

    Derek

  • Yes, CUs contain the previous CUs.

  • Hello Stefan,

When I apply updates (December or October) I get debug messages during update asking if I want to debug OWSTimer.

    Is this normal?

  • Hi Danny,

    sounds like this issue:

    Cheers,

  • Any planned date for the release of February 2011 CU that can be published? It's 25/2/2011 today, should we wait for it of deploy the December 2010 one?
