When working on customer problems I often see that WSS and MOSS Service Pack 1 has not been applied.
All customer which have not yet installed SP1 should be aware that support for systems without SP1 will end on January 13th, 2009. So in around 6 weeks. See here for details: http://support.microsoft.com/gp/lifesupsps#Office
After January 13th, 2009 support can only be provided for systems which have SP1 installed!
In case you have not yet evaluated and deployed SP1 you should plan to do this as soon as possible to ensure that your machines are in a supported state after the above listed deadline.
