In several countries that have Day Light Saving (DST) Time MOSS 2007 started to delay timer jobs (as used in e.g. content deployment jobs or backup and restore jobs) by one hour.
A hotfix for this issue is currently being developed.
As a workaround you can configure your system for a timezone that shows the same time as your local timezone but without DST.
For Europe the following table can be used:
Countries / Cities
Workaound Time Zone during DST
Dublin , Edinburgh, Lisbon, London
West Central Africa
Amsterdam, Berlin, Bern, Rome, Stockhom, Vienna
Belograde, Bratislava, Budapest, Ljubljana, Prague
Brussels, Copenhagen, Madrid, Paris
Sarajevo, Skopje, Warsaw, Zagreb
Helsinki, Kyiv, Riga, Sofia, Tallin, Vilnius
For other areas in the world you need to check if similar timezone settings can be found.
As soon as the hotfix becomes available, please install this fix and change the regional settings back to your regular timezone.
AAAAAAAAAAAARGH; this is un belivable..
Does anyone know if this hotfix been released yet?
the hotfix has not yet released.
I will anounce it on my blog when the fix is available.
This issue has started to rear its ugly head again. Imagine that, right before DST is ending. Was this hotfix ever released?
the fix has been released a couple of month ago.
Meanwhile it is also available for download without having a need to open a support call as the fix is contained in this security update:
Is the link in your replay to Marty correct?
We experience a dst problem with our daily alerts this problem since sunday (29march2009)
I guess that the dst hotfix is a part of moss sp1 ? or do i miss something?
yes, SP1 contains this fix.
