Forrester Research, Inc. has positioned Microsoft as a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Enterprise Data Warehouse, Q4 2013. Forrester notes that leaders “offer mature, high-performance, scalable, secure, flexible, and robust EDW solutions that often combine an analytics-optimized DW with query optimization, parallel loading, deep data compression, and mixed-workload management features.” Analysts and authors of the report Noel Yuhanna and Mike Gualtieri also explain that “next-generation EDW delivers in-memory, cloud, and Hadoop integration.”
