Expanding on the company’s commitment to help customers manage any data, any size, anywhere, Microsoft today announced that new previews are available for the company’s Hadoop-based solutions for Windows Server and Windows Azure, Microsoft HDInsight Server and Windows Azure HDInsight Service. These new previews are part of Microsoft’s effort to provide customers with access to a distribution of Hadoop that is fully compatible with Windows Server and Windows Azure, making it easier to manage and analyze big data. Additionally, Microsoft announced an extended partnership with Hortonworks, a commercial vendor of Apache Hadoop. Customers can download new previews of Microsoft HDInsight Server and Windows Azure HDInsight Service today at Microsoft.com/BigData.
