These key research reports assist Gartner clients in navigating important vendor selection decisions. Microsoft was included in both of these Magic Quadrant evaluations, with Leaders Quadrant positioning for both.
SQL Azure Announces Reduced Pricing and New 100MB Database Option
SQL Azure has announced that it is lowering its prices and is introducing a 100MB database option, in efforts to meet evolving customer needs across both ends of the database size spectrum. The price reductions and new entry-level database option are the result of both customer feedback and evolving usage patterns which have emerged.
One of the entertainment industry’s leading organizations chose to use a Windows Azure solution for its data needs. The Screen Actors Guild moved their Linux based website to Azure to support their biggest annual event, the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Each year, the Screen Actors Guild experiences increased traffic to its awards site, which peaks the eve of its annual award ceremony. The ceremony marks SAG’s biggest traffic day of the year.
