Microsoft’s annual Management Summit kicks off today and approximately 4,000 attendees are arriving in Las Vegas for the event.

As the show begins, today Microsoft highlighted the experiences of retailer Target Corp. using Microsoft virtualization and management technologies.

Target, the second largest discount retailer in the U.S., has virtualized inventory, point-of-sale, supply-chain management, asset protection, in-store digital media, and more on Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V SP1 in all its 1,755 stores. Target has also implemented Microsoft management solutions, System Center Operations Manager and System Center Configuration Manager, in its retail locations. You can learn more from the case study and press release on the Customer Spotlight website.
